Dragon Models

Unleash the gold standard of armor modeling with Dragon Models, a legendary name synonymous with cutting-edge detail and historical perfection. For decades, Dragon has been the "heavyweight champion" of 1/35 scale AFVs, and we are proud to bring their extensive catalog to you at afvhobbyhub.com.

The "Smart Kit" Revolution

Dragon Models redefined the industry with their famous Smart Kit series. Designed to offer maximum detail with a simplified assembly process, these kits utilize ingenious engineering and slide-mold technology to create complex parts—like one-piece gun barrels and hollowed-out exhausts—without the need for difficult aftermarket upgrades.

Why Dragon is a Modeler's Favorite

  • Unrivaled Variety: From the most comprehensive Panzer and Tiger families in the world to modern MBTs and Cold War classics, Dragon’s "3-in-1" kits often allow you to build multiple variants from a single box.
  • The "Black Label" & "Orange Box" Series: Whether you are looking for rare prototypes through the Black Label line or high-value "classic" kits with bonus figures in the Orange Box series, there is a Dragon kit for every budget.
  • Precision Tooling: Dragon is a pioneer in Slide-Mold Technology, ensuring that every bolt, rivet, and weld bead is rendered with crisp, multi-dimensional accuracy.
  • Premium Extras: Many kits feature Magic Tracks (easy-to-assemble individual links), photo-etched brass details, and world-class decals that make "out-of-the-box" builds look like museum pieces. [1, 2]

Legendary Figures and Beyond

Beyond armor, Dragon is world-renowned for its 1/35 scale figure sets. Their "Gen 2" figures are widely considered the finest plastic soldiers ever molded, featuring realistic facial expressions, authentic uniform folds, and a massive array of weapons and equipment. [3]
